The Cheesecake Factory Cheesecakes - Great Dessert for Easter (or anytime for that matter)

logoOriginal CheesecakeMardi Gras may have symbolized beads, bourbon, and beignets for some, but at least everyone can agree that it ushers in the arrival of Easter. Although Cadbury eggs are a delicious Easter treat, something a little more refined is called for at the holiday meal. The Cheesecake Factory take-home cheesecakes from Costco are the solution. Currently, Costco Warehouses across the nation are selling the Original and Classic Selection varieties, with the Lemoncello and Grand Assortment flavors to debut within a month.

The Costco Cheesecake Factory items are 9 inch frozen cheesecakes. The cheesecakes are created with only the highest quality of ingredients. All-natural ingredients are used when available to ensure a fresh, “made from scratch” flavor. The only step remaining before consumption is an overnight thaw in the fridge – yet another reason why the Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes are an easy sweet fix. In fact, many cheesecake aficionados prefer the frozen cheesecakes over the ones purchased on site due to their firmer texture. Don’t even consider giving up cheesecake for Lent!

 History

The Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes began in the small kitchen of Evelyn Overton. She developed her Original Cheesecake recipe to much acclaim and opened a cheesecake shop in Detroit in the 1940’s. Soon, Evelyn closed the shop to focus on raising her small kids and resumed baking out of her basement kitchen.Varieties

In 1972, Evelyn and her husband moved to Los Angeles and introduced the first "The Cheesecake Factory". Increasing demand and a growing reputation created a need for a larger bakery. With an expanded bakery, Evelyn concocted 20 new varieties of delicious cheesecakes, which were sold to hundreds of wholesale accounts. Their hard work and dedication to quality set the stage for The Cheesecake Factory's future success.

Hot Sauce. Really Hot Sauce

Finally, I found a hot sauce that meets and exceeds my expectation.

I like spicy food.  When I go to Thai restaurant, I say "Extra, extra hot, please"  Then I say "Remember, I said extra twice".

Sometimes I say "Give me Thai spicy, Not American spicy"

Tabasco, Valentina, Tapatio, and Cholula are cute.  But those are made for general public.  I don't find them remotely spicy.  Spicy food lovers would agree with me.

I accidentally found this, Blair's After Death Sauce, at Cost Plus World Market.  This is really hot.  I am not able to taste this straight.  I have to tone it down by mixing it with some other hot sauce (Tapatio).

Blair's After Death comes with a skull key chain.

I love this stuff.

King of Mongolian BBQ (stacking)

You know what Mongolian BBQ is.

You get all the ingredients you want in the bowl.  And the cook will heat it up for you.

Dinner is all-you-can-eat.  But, for lunch, you only get one trip.  So, it's up to you to pile up the food high.  And guess what? I am the king of Mongolian BBQ.

Look at the picture below.  On the right side, my co-worker tried to put as much food as possible in his bowl.  My bowl is on left.

I would never do this if I came here on a date or something.  That would be embarrassing.  I do this because it's very entertaining when I'm out with the guys.  Funny funny stuff.

Fortune Cookie
Oh yeah.  Check this out. Everything will be just fine.
The cookie told me so.

Hot Sauce & Honey at Wendy's

I wanted to wash my car today. We have Wendy's right next to my
car-wash place. So, 2 co-workers and I went out. First, I dropped by at my APT to pick up honey and Tapatio (hot sauce). Then I dropped off my car at the car wash. Then we went to Wendy's.

I used Tapatio on chili. I used honey to dip chicken nuggets. Wendy's doesn't carry honey. McDonald's does. I spent $4.08 on my lunch. It was fan-tastic. I haven't been eating out for a few months now. I've been eating good lately.

My Brazilian coworker tried chicken nugget with honey for the first time. He was keep saying "Good sh*t" "Good sh*t" in Portuguese accent.

When did this happen? McDonald's Nutritional Fact

I went to McDonald's for lunch today.

I had Filet O Fish & 6 pieces of Chicken McNuggets (& no soda)

My Coworker had a 1/4 Pound Burger Value Pack.

I looked at the bottom sides of the boxes and saw nutritional facts.  This was the first time seeing nutritional facts on any fast food containers.

Anyway, I ate 660 kCal (plus honey mustard) while my coworker ate over 1400 kCal.

My lunch (without soda) was $6.42.  That's a lot of money.  I remember I used to go to McDonald's to save money.

1 1/2 Slices of Bread For Breakfast

I eat 1 1/2 slices of bread for breakfast.

1 slice is too little.  2 slices are too much.

So, I make sandwich with 1.5 slices of bread & 3 slices of ham.
When I told my friends about it, they seemed puzzled about how I manage to distribute & stack 1.5 pieces of bread in one sandwich.

It's very simple.  Check it out.

Lunch - Salad & Anchovy Pizza

When I ordered an Anchovy Pizza, the cashier said "You are the first person ordering anchovy in 2 months".  So, I told her "Make that 2".  Because my coworker was getting a Double Anchovy pizza.

"How do I explain the beauty of anchovy?  How do I make them understand?" I asked to my co-worker.  "I don't know, dude... start a website" he replied.

We talked about anchovy pizzas while we were eating 'em.
I told him how much I enjoy the chalky, meaty texture of anchovy.
My coworker told me about the best anchovy pizza he ever had.  That's right, we are a couple of deep thinkers.

Mm... good stuff.

Salad

For lunch, we only get one trip to the salad bar with this bowl.  So, naturally, we pile 'em up high.

I quickly learned that Sprouts goes on top.  That bowl of salad could have gone a lot higher but I didn't want to embarrass my coworker.
