Got the stupid chicken after work. Yum…
19th Costco shopping in 2018 – $201.05 (today) / $1106.1 (this year)
I ordered another pair of progressive lenses for my eyeglasses. My current glasses were new, about 5 months old. But, after trying my new progressive lenses from Costco, I refuse to go back to regular lenses. Costco has the best price and best quality on eyeglass lenses. The world looks different with Costco lenses. Really, I am not kidding.
I stopped buying small lunch salad kits. Instead, I’ve been making my own salad with Power Greens, boiled egg whites, and some protein items (chicken, fish, whatever I can find).
I promise, I will stop buying pants. But, these were light gray. I don’t have any light gray pants. So, I bought two pairs. They are Calvin Klein. I will enjoy them.
Oh, and I don’t have to iron these.
* My heart was set on rotisserie chicken, but they were completely out of chicken. There was 30 minute waiting time. I was very disappointed.

Boring… Zzz… But, I am committed to document every single Costco shopping this year (to prove how boring I am)

Costco often offer instant savings on Doritos. That’s when I buy them.
I bought a bag of Doritos for my coworker. If you remember my Christmas video, I walked up to someone’s cubicle and took a scoop of salsa with a cracker (see below at 0:44). I left this bag of Doritos at that table. It was a hit. A few people made remarks about it. People love me at my work.

I made a quick stop at Costco after work for some greens. Wild herring in wine sauce is a treat. I get a craving once in a while, and I must have some.

I spent many hours researching. I can tell you with confidence that Costco provides the best deal on prescription lenses (for eyeglasses).
There are cheaper deals out there. I used to wear a pair of eyeglasses from China that was $18 for both frame and lenses. So, if you are poor, you can take a chance, sacrifice your vision, and save money. I was young and financially challenged several years ago. At that time China was my only option. Now that I am financially stable, I will absolutely avoid sending my prescription to China.
Today I ordered a pair of lenses at Costco. This was my first bi-focal.
Since Costco has limited supply of eyeglass frames, I bought a frame of my own from Amazon. Costco charges $25 (?) for bringing your own glasses. They charged me $18 this time, because of the system glitch. They couldn’t find account number to charge me $25(?). So, they charged the old price of $18.
After ordering prescription lenses, I bought a 16 pack of Gillette razor blades, Fusion5 Proglide, with $10 savings. As far as I am concerned, Gillette razors that takes a battery is the best (non-professional) shaving system on this planet . Let me know if there are better razors out there.
$34.99 for 16 pack is THE best price anywhere. Without $10 savings, you can find better price on eBay.
There are ways to make your razor blades to last longer. I should study on how to properly maintain them. I don’t do anything special to my razor blades. But, each of my razor blades lasts well over a month. I understand most men go through 1 razor blades a week. I guess most men have a lot more hair.. thicker… gross.

Today is the first day of Costco Coupon Book savings. I saved $15.20 on Doritos and vitamins.
I am still not sure if Focus Factor works for me. I have a decent job where I work with people 15-20 younger than I am. I desparately would like to perform at my peak level. They are little over $15 a bottle. I have no problem paying for them.
I bought 2 pairs of Kirkland Signature Brushed Twill Pants for $16.99 each (Item #7407740 – Free Shipping – link while available). These pants are very good and I don’t have to iron them. These are better than Calvin Klein or Buffalo David Bitton jeans. You see, brand name clothes you find at Costco are made just for Costco. They don’t have the same quality and integrity of expensive Calvin Klein clothes you will find at official retail stores. So, when I “like” Calvin Klein pants from Costco, my level of satisfaction is somewhere between 75% – 85%. I used to like them more, but I feel that the quality had gone down noticeably. Sometimes I feel insulted because of lacking quality on CK items at Costco. Some CK items at Costco are plain ugly. I buy them because they are cheap.
These Kirkland Signature Brushed Twill pants are cheap ($16.99) but high quality. With these pants, you are separating yourself from the “Jean People”. Compared to jeans, these pants will make you look more matured and professional. They are the ultimate office pants for men. I highly recommend Kirkland Signature Brushed Twill Pants. I repeat, you do not have to iron these (*If you know what you are doing).
These pants are thin. They are not for cold weather. Yesterday was a cold day. So, I wore a pair of thermal pants under them to work – and it worked out fine.
13th Costco shopping in 2018 – $13.45 (today) / $535.83 (this year)
I dropped by quick, after work, for a rotisserie chicken. On my way to the chickens, I saw beef jerky on sale.
12th Costco shopping in 2018 – $29.47 (today) / $453.83 (this year)
I bought a pair of really nice Calvin Klein pants (Costco Item #1147567). They were made with a unique material and were shockingly beautiful. They looked even more beautiful when they were on me. The pants were stretchy and super comfortable. I immediately ran them through washer and dryer. I was curious… (fingers crossed)
Soon, I discovered that these pants have to be ironed. There is no way around. If I want to enjoy these beautiful pants every day, I’ll have to iron 5-7 of these pants every week. I iron a few shirts every Sunday morning for fun. Adding several pairs of pants means I will spend one hour every Sunday morning ironing. So, Sunday morning will no longer be my fun magic moment, but it will become a grind.
Currently, I wear black or gray jeans to work. I never iron my jeans. Unless you are Martha Stewart, not having to iron is a huge luxury in life. I will not buy any more of these pants. I will keep this pair for special events.
Check this out – Al Pastor Salad at Costco food court. Let me know if you tried it before. Did you like it? The only reason why I didn’t try Al Pastor Salad is because of its high sodium content. My doctor said I need to watch sodium intake. I guess I can completely skip the dressing, but…
Soo… anyway… I will not eat it, you eat it and let me know. Haha..
What we know so far.
Nutritional facts can be found here.
It’s $4.99. The sign says…
It says 330 – 750 cal. If I make an educated guess, that means the dressing is 420 Calories and the salad alone is 330 Calories. Which I am not surprised. It’s always dressings and tartar sauce that will do you in. Do not eat all the dressing,
Updated October 2018:
I don’t like The Original Green Pan review. They started to stick like glue after several month. The dimples were gimmick. Costco better not bring those pans back.
Pair of Original Green Pans were $39.99. What caught my attention was that they have dimples – they call it “Dotted Surface” that optimally distributes oil. But, these pans are not good. I am bitter about this experience.
I am sick of buying frying pans. They all claim to be non-stick. But, they never last long enough. My prior non-stick ceramic pan lasted about 4 months and it started to stick like glue.
