Christmas Moment

I contacted my friend Friday (Dec 22nd) and convinced her to come out after work for a “Christmas experience”.  Both she and I get off work late. We are tired, but I told her that she will look back and cherish the moment – that we must force ourselves to create some kind of Christmas moment before it’s gone.

The entire night I played my favorite Christmas music in my car.  I picked her up at her work and went for a quick bite.  And we went to a coffee shop and enjoyed holiday flavored coffee.

Then we walked around the shopping center and took some pictures.  I struck a silly pose in front of a big Christmas tree.  Then we realized that my stomach was exposed in the picture.  We had a big laugh.  We kept looking at that picture and kept laughing.

We took a detour back to her work and looked at houses with Christmas decorations.  I took her back to work in three hours.

4 days later, I cherish that magic moment.  I hate getting old.  I hope we will all live young forever.  Enjoy your magic moments.  I will talk to you soon.

Wardrobe by Costco (5 items):  Cashmere scarf, Buffalo brand hoodie, Calvin Klein shirt, Buffalo brand jeans, Kirkland Signature belt.

I will puke

Video will start at 27 second mark.  This is Apple commercial – artistically done. But… Oh God.

If she pulls that out from her ear hole and put it in my ear hole… I will puke.  I don’t even use the same Q-Tip for both left and right side of my own ear-canals.  It’s gross.

Looking for Snack at Work

I was working… then I had a sudden craving for some snacks.  I have cookies at my desk, but I wanted to see what else was out there.  This is what I saw.

Merry Christmas.

Costco Shopping – December 20, 2017

I have the ham.  I am ready.

I opened the red wrapper to make sure the ham is being well kept in vacuum packaging.

Beef jerky is for the guys at the mail annex at my work.  I use mail warehouse all the time.  I get my personal items delivered. During the holiday season they get cookies and crackers.  But, guys like meat.  So, I will slap on a ribbon on top and give it to them.

There will be massive eating this weekend.

Merry Christmas.  Enjoy.

Hate calling cable company for discount

It is a common knowledge that we should call our cable company and ask for better price.  With today's technology, a lot of people cut ties with cable providers.  So, when you call them, they must try to make you happy.

When I first sign up for Verizon FIOS, I was paying $130 a month for cable, internet, & phone service. After several years, my monthly bill is now $169/m.

I knew I should call them and ask for better price, but I hate calling cable company. So, I've been putting it off for a few years.  I am pretty sure that cable companies know we hate calling them.

Today I finally called them, now it's Frontier FIOS.  And they gave me $25/m discount just like that.  That's $300 extra annual income for me.

So… I lost $1000+ last several years because I was not on top of this game… because I hate calling my cable company.

I am the only person to blame on this.  I need to be more proactive.  I feel stupid.  I will not let this happen again.

I have a mild concussion.

Update:

Doctor thinks I have a mild concussion.  The x-ray showed minor neck injury (not too bad).  But, my problem is the headache that will not go away (nausea & dizziness).

He prescribed me physical therapy.  And wants me to check with him in 10 days.  We are guessing I will be better by then, or else… (bigger issue)

Doctor didn't seem worried.  He thinks I will be OK.   Now I know there isn't anything horribly wrong with me. For now, I still have the headache.

I am OK.  I can still enjoy everyday life.  🙂

Merry Christmas. Happy holidays.

OMG, I’m a yuppy.

After the accident, I had to buy a car ASAP.  So, I bought what I thought was the most boring & economical car.  I wanted my car to blend in with the rest.  It also had to be garage sale friendly.  So, I bought a Prius station wagon – a used one, of course.

I felt depressed and alone after the accident.  So, I bought some Christmas gifts to myself to cheer me up.  I bought a leather briefcase from Coach and a designer wallet from England.  They were on sale.

I texted my friend about what I bought.  Then my friend pointed out that I was a yuppy.

PS. I still have a headache. I have a dizzy spell also.  I am going to see a doctor tomorrow morning.  I will update you.

My cubicle – Christmas 2017

I put up this decoration in my cubicle on Thanksgiving week.  Since then, every single day I hear people going “Oooh~!” “Aahhh~!!”.  It’s been super fun so far.

The Christmas tree with 800 lights was $10 at a garage sale.  I am the king of garage sale.

I bought the train, stuffed reindeer, and a red scarf from Costco.  Some things you just have to pay full price.

I’ve been playing Christmas music for last 2 months.  Christmast is only two weeks away.  I already feel emontional that the end is near.  I would like to enjoy more and share with more people.

Merry Christmas.  Happy holidays.

Costco Shopping – December 7, 2017

I went to Costco for Eneloop batteries ($19.99 after $10 instant savings).  It was a quick in and out shopping.  As I was taking a brisk walk to the batteries, I passed by 2 sample stations.  Look what they gave me.  That’s a lot of candies. I was so happy.

Christmas is a few weeks away and, Costco is already taking down Christmas items as usual.  I noticed all the big items, such as big snow man, were gone.

Holiday season is coming to an end quickly.  I wish to enjoy more before it’s over.  I may be sleepy and tired.  I need to get out and fight traffic, mix with crazy shoppers, and stop for pumpkin spice coffee.  I shall enjoy this magic moment.

Happy Thanksgiving 2017 – More Pictures

Happy Thanksgiving 2017

This is my 8th year baking turkey alone.

I have places to go every year.  I thank them, but I refuse to go.  Nobody, including my family, matches comfort and joy that I have when I bake turkey alone.

I want to bake my own turkey.  It’s so much fun.

One of my coworkers enjoys visiting my house on Thanksgiving day for a few hours.  Because I provide comfort and joy… a lot of good stuff to eat.

I just woke up.  I shall take a shower and start the day with coffee. I cleaned my kitchen last night and put some Christmas decoration on the sliding door.  Look at my beautiful kitchen.  I came a long way.  Remember when I was poor?  Now I feel awkward (guilty?) to show pictures, because I remember not having good things like these.

Life’s been fun so far.  But, one thing I envy the most is people who have family of their own.  You have the best gift.  It makes me want to cry when I see father and son walking together, etc…  It looks so beautiful and I wish I have that.

Happy Thanksgiving.  I’ll talk to you soon.  It’s magic time.  Have fun~!!

And, pictures of my turkey

Keep checking for holiday savings

I am enjoying special holiday savings at Costco.  I am keep fining some good stuff this year.  It’s been fun so far.

This hooded sweatshirt is very fancy for how much you pay ($15.99 after $4 off).  It’s high quality and I am loving it.  They are by Buffalo David Bitton.  I guess they are somewhat of high end (-ish).

It’s not baggy.  It hugs your body, that it will be fun to wear if you are a fit person.

I also bought 3 pairs of Buffalo brand jeans with $15 total savings.

Keep checking for holiday savings. Enjoy!

Snail in Spinach. EW~!!!

I FREAKED.

There is a snail in the bag of spinach I bought at Costco.  This is a sealed bag.  I shall take it back tomorrow morning (Sunday).  Gross.
