Nobody told me about the toaster oven. I thought the microwave oven was all there was. To test my new toaster oven, I brought home a slice of Costco pizza. The pizza was amazing from this oven. I am learning and getting better at living alone.

The toaster oven is one of the greatest counter top inventions. I cook everything in my toaster oven. That’s saying a lot since I cook everyday. I rarely ever use my microwave. I have the older model of that exact toaster oven and bought it at Costco about three years ago. While it doesn’t make toast as fast as a traditional toaster, it does so many other tasks that we deal with the long toasting time.
You can purchase toaster oven baking accessories from Amazon. They sell cupcake pans, baking dishes, etc designed for toaster ovens. I collect vintage Pyrex and Corningware so I have a large collection of baking dishes, but I am still eyeing that cupcake pan.
Oh, I put the pull out tray in my dishwasher about once a week. After three years it still works great.

Hah! I bought that same exact toaster oven when I got my new apartment — i had to choose between this an a microwave — didn’t have room for both. Glad I went with the toaster oven — i don’t like microwaves because they tend to make food really "rubbery" and it tastes bad after a while — toaster oven gives food a nice crisp taste 🙂 hope urs is treating ur well!

There is no way I will reheat another slice of pizza with a microwave oven. I know now.
I guess microwave oven has its own use, but… I believe a toaster oven is a better tool if I want to truly enjoy food.
Microwave oven may be useful if I was a fire fighter and I need to eat something really quick before saving lives.
I feel cheated that I never considered a toaster oven before.
