Holiday season is approaching fast that I can feel it on my skin. We had a pretty warm day today, but as I hurried to Costco after work, it quickly turned chilly as the Sun started to go down already.
With my empty cart, I went straight to Christmas aisle. I stayed there for awhile and enjoyed this train village (Sold out late October). I liked the music and lights. And the train was going in and out… This thing was a dream. I couldn’t walk away from it. I thought about people living in those tiny houses. I wish I had this when I was a kid. But, aren’t we all kids? Anyway, Christmas is magic. Oh, how I cherish Costco’s Christmas aisle…
Soon, I was back on to Costco shopping. Coupons (instant savings) saved $27.50.
European Cookies (#181679 $8.99 after $3 off) have been my holiday ritual for last 10 years or so. Every holiday season, I buy a few cans of these cookies from Costco and put them in freezer. I enjoy them on weekend with morning coffee. My plan is to enjoy little bit of Christmas throughout the year. I bought 3 boxes of of these cookies last year. I am on the last box now.
Soy beans and pot stickers (#440175 $7.99 after $3 off) will last several months for me. It’s good to have variety of quick meals handy. Especially if you live alone, you have plenty room in your freezer, and keeping a freezer full will save energy.
I failed miserably on watermelon this time. The watermelon I bought today was barely enjoyable. It was about 7 out of scale of 10. I am beginning to wonder if I will ever have a good watermelon rest of my life. I would pay $100 for a really good watermelon. I suck so bad at picking watermelons. I spent a lot of time and money hunting for a super-fantastic watermelon.
I bought three bottles of Nature’s Bounty, Nair, Skin & Nails (#553486, $12.46 after $3.50 off). I’ve been taking Biotin supplements every other day, but my hair was getting thinner over the years. I shall take extra dose of these and see if my hair will grow thicker. Don’t get old, people.. don’t get old… 🙁
