This is a topic I am very passionate about. It's about the future of Tonight Show.
The media is giving Conan O'Brien less credit then what he really deserves.
They basically say
"Jay is the king"
"Too bad Tonight Show will to lose rating"
"Wanda Sykes show will beat Tonight Show"
"Jay's 10pm show will out-shine tonight show - that will make Conan frustrated"
Etc...
But I see things totally different.
I believe Conan O'brien is much funnier and has a bigger fan base than any late-night comedians.
Below is my prediction:
- Conan O'brien will set a record breaking rating for Tonight Show.
- Conan O'Brien will beat Letterman in rating - consistently.
- Wanda Sykes show will not last long (show to start in fall 2009)
- Jay Leno's variety show will suffer low rating.
- When the smoke clears, it will be Conan O'Brien standing tall. Conan O'Brien will step over Sykes, Leno, Ferguson, and Letterman.
I am not going to enjoy June 1st show, because of the first episode shenanigans. But things will pick up from the next show.
I am very excited. I have waited 17 years for this.
I may be wrong about my prediction. But I think I know what I'm talking about. Only time will tell.
To sum up:
NBC, messiah is coming. Conan will walk on water and wake dead bodies. It's magic time~!
