Carbone or Rao’s?

Recently, these 2 heavy-hitters have been popping off in both sales and shelf space in my pantry. Alternating sales of each of these famous red sauces at my local Costco have made me question everything I’ve ever known about pasta sauces in their unnatural jar forms.

The verdict – Rao’s. Call it familiarity or unjust, but Carbone has not dethroned my long-standing relationship with Rao’s. Carbone leans a bit too sweet whereas Rao’s provides that acidic kick that can be tamed by a myriad of spices and seasonings I regularly dump into it to zhuzh up my sauces.

What do y’all think?

(obligatory message about jar pasta sauces don’t compare to homemade/your grandma’s/blah blah blah lol)
