Costco Shopping – May 22, 2009

* Today’s Costco shopping: 19th time this year, 2nd time this month

One interesting item was a sack of potatoes. I am going to use them for juicing. I put 3-4 along with apples & carrots. I think they are pretty good & cheap.

One thing I like about juicing is that I don’t have to worry about finding worms in the apple. (because they are crushed) Haha~~

I am doing well with my fitness goal. I now eat less & better.

I save the pineapple skin for the juice.

Back in the day…

I still have a crate full of old-school Hip Hop (Rap) records. Most of them are about 20 years old. Back then, Hip Hop was underground, so I had to borrow my father’s car and drive to Los Angeles to look for records.

Old School Hip Hop Records

I used to tune my Radio to AM 1580 at night. If I get lucky, I would get a faint reception. Oh, how I enjoyed listening to Greg Mack, the Mack Attack.

Then, late 80s, Rap turned mainstream. I even saw the gang from Saved By the Bell rapping. That’s when I completely stopped listening to rap music.

They used to have some good Hip Hop music back then.

I had 2 turntables and a cheap Realistic mixer from RadioShack. I had fun making my own mixtapes. I made very little money doing DJs for parties as well. I didn’t DJ too much, because I was what they called a “Sucker DJ”

I found this mix from YouTube – below is the kind of music I used to listen to.

Ironing Shirts

I shot this video to supplement my past product review on the Polder Ironing board. I shot this video to show that we need a flat end of the board. Most ironing boards now have stupid cup holders to block access to the flat end.

When will they learn?

** PS. Someone told me I iron strangely. But I saw no one else ironing before in my life. I mean, I never paid attention. So I came up with my own method. I think my way is the best way. Look, I ironed 2 shirts in 5 minutes. If there is a faster way, I would like to know.

Ecco Shoes, Hamburger Phone…

* 42, 43rd packages of the year

I bought a pair of ecco shoes. It was the most expensive pair of shoes I ever bought in my life ($150.00). Also, they were the cheapest pair of ecco shoes I could find.

CostcogirlinVA introduced me to Ecco. I didn’t know about Ecco before she mentioned the name. I think they were exactly what I needed. So, I got a pair.

They are good shoes. They fit well and extremely comfortable. I can wear them like a pair of sneakers.

Thank you, costcogirlinVA.

Hamburger Phone

I finally watched Juno. This is the hamburger phone from the movie. It was less than $12.00 from eBay

Picture Diary

I went to lunch with my regular lunch buddy. We went to this Pizza joint. They had an “Unlimited Topping” pizza.

So I ordered double anchovies and mushrooms.

At work, somebody kept pumping up the air conditioner after lunch. I mean, I was so cold. Today, I had to wear a fuzzy jacket and gloves when it’s almost 80 degrees outside. This is why some people hate Americans.
