Fist Bump

I had a lot of fun visiting Costco in Atlanta, Georgia. Now it was time for me to fly back home to California. I got on board and took my window seat on the left side. Soon, a beautiful young woman set next to me in the middle seat. I told her she can use the armrest between us. I said, “And I will not talk to you. I may give you a fist bump after we landed.” She smiled back.

A few minutes later her boyfriend came and set next to her on the aisle seat. I felt a little awkward that I didn’t know she was with her boyfriend. But I did tell her I will not talk to her. So…

It was a 4-hour flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles. The Sun was still up, and we flew by some beautiful clouds. I watched Harry Potter and Sound of Music on my iPad. The couple next to me talked for an hour, took a nap, and the girl played games on her smartphone. I caught her occasionally in the corner of my eye. She was tall and good-looking. If she was my girl, I would worship her.

And, of course, I didn’t talk to her.

We finally landed, but it took extra time to get to the gate. Finally, the seatbelt sign was turned off, and people started to stand up and reach for their luggage.

Her boyfriend stood up and turned his back on her for a short time. At that exact moment, she quickly turned to me with a big smile.

And gave me a fist bump.

Happy Valentine’s Day (2015).

Viagra girl says that half of the men over 40 suffer from some form of ED. But, I think most men can solve their problems by just watching this commercial (this model).

I bought this jar of tulips two weeks ago for my mother. It was $11.99 at Costco. I normally see my parents every weekend. But my parents have been busy the last 2 weekends. Tulips are now in full bloom. So, I took pictures of them and emailed them to my mother.

My mother enjoyed the images I sent her.

I set it on the chair by the window so it will get some Sunlight. I bought that chair last week for $5 at a garage sale.

Photography: I am still enjoying my Canon PowerShot S120.

Happy Thanksgiving!
This year’s turkey was THE best of them all. It was a 21 pounder.

I’ve been baking Turkeys for 5-6 years now. I usually bake 15 lb turkeys. But this year, I went for a bigger bird for bigger fun. As usual, I was home alone and ate alone. I was invited to a family gathering about 70 miles away. But I politely declined so I can enjoy being home alone. There is nothing like being at home – even if I live alone.

I am not a bad son. In fact, I am a good son. I see my parents almost every weekend. So, my parents do not miss me for Thanksgiving much. I will see them in 2 days, and we will share Thanksgiving stories.

My turkey came out real nice. I didn’t follow any recipe. I seasoned the turkey from my experience (memory). I used orange, lemon, sage, & rosemary growing in my front yard. I watched TV, drank coffee, and relaxed. It was a good time.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I am glad I bought that turkey rack from Costco last year

From Costco: Turkey, turkey rack, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, gravy

Boring story. I replaced a garbage disposal.

I found the same unit from Home Depot… so it took me about 30 minutes to replace it. It could have been a nightmare if I couldn’t find the same unit.

I got lucky.

I had a stressful Thanksgiving day that I had to cancel my dinner.

2 days later, on Saturday, I forced myself to bake a turkey. It came out pretty good.

I had a miserable holiday season in 2013. Horrible… I didn’t tell you at that time.

Early Christmas Gift To Myself

I bought an early Christmas gift for myself. This is the third guitar I bought this year.

It’s PRS SE Santana ($725). If this was a made-in USA model, it would be about $4000.00 (? not sure). They are for rich people. I’m happy with the imported version. Imported versions are not bad at all. I tuned the guitar the whole step down (D tune) to play Motley Crue songs. Motley Crue is the only 80s Rock band who tuned their guitar in D tune (on every song). Metallica recorded one song in D tune.

I play stuff from the ’70s & 80s (& some early 90s) – that’s when the guitar was glorious.

This is the cheapest guitar I own, and it will stay at my work.
