Scented Candles – 2 years later

If you are a long-time visitor to my blog, you will remember the time when I first got into scented candles.

Then I announced I would stop talking about scented candles because I started talking more about scented candles than Costco. I was absolutely obsessed with scented candles.

With that, below is a picture I just took this morning.

I understand burning candles produce cancer-causing chemicals. I am now replacing all paraffin candles with soy wax candles. Even with soy wax, I shall refrain from burning candles too much.

I love scented candles. I am burning rose right now.

Costco Shopping – September 4, 2013

I went to Costco after work on Wednesday for some quick pickup.

And I found this nice comforter by Pacific Coast Feather Company (650 fill power).

$99.89 is a good price. This purchase may pay for your Costco membership.

I’ve been using 700 fill power comforter by Laura Ashley for 5 years. Last few months, I’ve been looking for another comforter with less fill power. After research, I decided Pacific Coast was the best bet. Then I found the exact comforter I was going to buy. I would have paid much more.

This comforter is better and lighter. My older comforter was too warm. I am very satisfied.

* NOTICE: It’s priced at $99.89. That $.89 means It’s a special deal. They may disappear quickly. Good luck.

Tail of Irony: Slaps

I watched this race about a month ago. Max Papis slapped Billy Johnson. I didn’t like what I saw. I thought that was messed up.

Then this weekend, the unthinkable happened. Max Papis got slapped by a girlfriend of another driver (not Billy Johnson’s). He’s got hit very hard that it dislocated his jaw. Nascar world is buzzing around this incident right now. I am very interested in seeing what’s going to happen. There are many people angry at this girl. (furious)

Anyway, I see the irony in this whole thing. Maybe Max Papis started the chain of slaps that getting slapped was inevitable.

Costco Shopping – August 23 & 30 2013

August 23, 2013

I didn’t buy anything exciting. I mainly went to Costco to look at Christmas stuff. This Christmas season will be over before we know

I cannot get enough of these hot wings.

Honey Roasted Nut Mix looked interesting. They were good. I finished the whole can in a week.

August 30, 2013

Bought 2 doormats (World’s Best Outdoor Mat). They were really good so I bought 2 of them.

I also bought a jar of Costco Mixed Nuts and a gallon of Orange Juice.

After eating a hotdog and putting gas in the car, I went to Wal*mart, ROSS, and Smart and Final.

Ful Backpack Review – It Cut Me (drew blood)

It happened on the morning of April 25.

As I put something in my backpack, I felt a sharp pain. My backpack cut my hand. This over 1-inch long cut drew blood.

I cut my hand as I pull my hand out. 4 months later, on August 25, I have a scar I don’t think will go away.

Inside the Ful backpack, there is a Velcro with a plastic label. I got cut on the corner of that label. I guess it’s a freak incident. I wonder how many other people had a similar experience.

Update 2021 – 8 years later, I still have a scar from that cut.

Christmas Time is Here

August 16, 2013

Christmas time is here at Costco. I am happy and excited.

My new job is much less stressful, so I will have time to enjoy this holiday season. I will not spend a lot of money this year. There will be no Christmas tree. I am carefully saving money for next Christmas (2014). I plan to buy a car with whatever cash I saved.

Have fun. Don’t complain that it’s too early for Christmas. Don’t be that person who complains, but be the person who enjoys Christmas in August.
